Behind the scenes of better patient outcome

Here is one of their stories. 

Most people assume medical sales is all about talking to surgeons. But for Todd Greasley, Territory Manager, Regenerative Medicine at LifeHealthcare, an EBOS MedTech company, the role goes further.    

Working closely with surgeons, radiologists and nurses, Todd is occasionally contacted by clinicians or their practice teams to help coordinate the use of a regenerative product that has already been discussed with a patient. In those situations, his role is to provide general product information and practical details, for example, how it is supplied or set up, while the treating clinician manages all aspects of care and advice. “If a surgeon feels it’s appropriate, they’ll involve me to assist with the product side of things,” Todd says. “My job is simply to support the process and make it straightforward for the clinical team.”    

Plans change in an instant    

Todd services a largely growing territory across Queensland, and no two days look the same. One morning, he might be in the theatre, scrubbing in to support a PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) procedure. Next, he leads an education session for nurses or walks through the details of a bone stimulation device with surgeons and patients. And sometimes, just when the day feels planned, a call comes through that changes everything.    

“You can map out your week, but things shift in an instant. A clinic might need urgent support, and you just drop everything. That’s the nature of the role, unpredictable, but never boring.”    

More time to live their lives    

For Todd, the real appeal of regenerative medicine lies in the options it provides.  Treatments such as PRP, which use the patient’s own blood to stimulate healing, or ultrasound bone stimulators can be used by clinicians in situations where surgery might not be the first choice.  “It’s about supporting clinicians with another option they can consider for suitable patients,” Todd says. “For me, it’s rewarding to play a small part in helping doctors provide treatments that align with their patients’ needs and circumstances.”   

Messages that make it all worthwhile   

Competition in the field is fierce, and the pace can be demanding.  What makes it worthwhile for Todd is the feedback he hears. Whether it’s from a surgeon who values the support in theatre, a nurse who feels more confident after training, or a patient who shares how a treatment has fitted into their care journey. “Hearing those stories, seeing that people value what we do, that’s what makes the role rewarding.”    

Backed by a small but mighty team    

The regenerative medicine team at LifeHealthcare is tight-knit, just a handful of people spread across Australia. But daily calls, weekly meetings, and constant collaboration mean they always feel connected.
